This course provides an overview of information systems in the business world. It presents an organizational view of how to use information technology to create competitive firms, manage global organizations, and provide useful products and services to customers. This course will cover topics such as introduction to computer base information system, using IT and IS for competitive advantages, organization transformation, office automation and virtual organization, system acquisition and development, functional systems, executive information system, strategic information systems, decision support systems, knowledge base systems, managing data and computer security.​​​
